Cailin and Devon as the embark on the beautiful journey of painting their canvas of marriage…

Every marriage is like a blank canvas, waiting for its artist(s) to create their masterpiece. Cailin and Devon’s day lay the foundation of pure beauty. Everything about their day was picture perfect. From the drive down into the serene hills where Cradle Valley Guesthouse is situated to sheer joy shared by everyone on the dance floor at the end of the night. Cailin and Devon’s Day could not have been more perfect. Beautiful, elegant and filled with love, 28th February 2020 will be a date fondly reminisced about.

Many venues go the extra mile for their bridal parties, but the planning, organisation and hosting by Cradle Valley Guesthouse was beyond par. From a hearty welcome to us as service providers, to having our very own co-ordinator Beauty, chaperone guests and keep order of the day to timing perfection. Cradle Valley Guesthouse has to be right up there with the absolute best in terms of hospitality and service.

Cailin’s decor colour scheme was a girls dream come true. I was literally squealing in happiness when it came to photographing the amazing table decor and hanging floral arrangements. Beautiful tones of blushes, muted pinks and ivory. Absolute Bliss!

The bride tribe were hosted in the Bridal suite atop the premises and the gents down below. This gave us ample opportunity to find pretty spots to take photos. The bride tribe were so much fun to photograph!

By the time we got to ‘the ones’, the cloud cover was coming over fast and the boys were almost ready to go! Everyone was in a great mood and it was great to see Devon so relaxed. The little bit of nerves he did have were soon calmed by his groomsmen and their merry cheer (read: whiskey and beer).

Whilst busy with the Groomsmen’s fun shots the heavens decided to start (gently) blessing this wedding. We had to move under shelter for the remaining shots. By the time we were finished and had to make our way back to the bride tribe the blessings were coming at a decent pace. enough to get ‘wet-ish’ but not soaked. Its like even our timing was perfect. As we got back to the bride tribe, the heavens unleashed a truly heavy downpour. By this point everyone was worried about how wet Caitlin would get walking down the aisle.

Luckily, with just ten minutes to go before the ceremony was due to start - the clouds broke open and some sun started to shine through! This gave us a bit of time to quickly sneak in some portraits of Cailin before her Dad came to collect her

The Team at Cradle Valley did an amazing job of clearing up the path and getting it as dry as possible for Cailin to walk down the aisle. She looked absolutely incredible and it was so special to see Devon’s face light up as she walked in. Here are some of the ceremony highlights:

As you well know, Cailin and Devon are a supremely good looking couple - so the picture perfectness of their couple shoot was just magic, and besides that couple shoot was a total blast. The entire bridal party were absolutely fantastic and it was great to have such an enthusiastic group to capture. We managed to get everything done in just enough time before the heavens opened up again.

The Couple cut their cake before the couple shoot and offered a wonderfully set-out harvest table to guests to enjoy whilst listening to the band. Meanwhile the reception hall candles were being lit and the room was being turned into a dream of romance..candle by candle…

The Reception was fantastic. The speeches were truly emotive and our MC’s, forever known here on in as Mr & Mr “Shooshies” made for hilarious entertainment. The entire wedding party and guests looked exceptional - it was wonderful to see how everyone went to effort to really look great. It was fun to photograph a hall filled with such well dressed people! Especially when they were laughing at one of the Mr Shooshies! The food was AMAZING and the band just topped off a superb evening and way to celebrate Cailin and Devon’s Picture Perfect Union.
